Kristina (Krissy) Cagle recently completed her junior year at Arthur P. Schalick High School. She is currently ranked tenth in her class out of 137 students, with an unweighted GPA of 3.87 and a weighted GPA of 4.39. She scored a 1350 on her SAT and was elected president of the National Honor Society. She was also inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society.
During her junior season with the Cougars, Krissy batted .390 with six home runs and 32 RBIs, leading her team in both categories. She collected 30 hits on the year. As a sophomore, Krissy split time between first base and the pitcher's circle for the varsity Cougars. Offensively, she batted .298 with four doubles, 15 runs and 18 RBIs in 22 games.
In 2018 for the Vineland Tsunami, Krissy hit .333, including .400 in the USSSA World Series event in Hartford, CT. She proved her versatility with the Tsunami, playing first base, third base, the corner outfield slots and pitcher. Krissy has played travel ball for the past seven years.
Off the field, Krissy has served as a Peer Mediator and a tutor at Schalick, a summer program mentor for elementary school students and a mentor this fall for the middle school. An executive representative on student council, she was also a member of Schalick's Mock Trial team, which won the Salem County Championship. Krissy attended the Girls Career Institute as a delegate at Rutgers University. She spent five years with the local Girl Scouts troop. Krissy currently volunteers at Inspira Medical Center (Hospital) in Elmer, and in the past has donated her time at Elmer United Methodist Church's thrift store, as well as volunteering in concession stands during high school and youth sporting events.
